A Wee Update from Wild Islay Birding

Thank you to all the people contacting us and wishing us well with the new venture. It is great to have so much support.

These first few weeks have been busy out with some clients wildlife watching and getting around the island putting out posters and flyers.

We have seen otter and the bottle nosed dolphins that frequented Loch Indaal for over a week recently. There are loads of waterfowl about with pintail in particular showing well at the local nature reserve and at the head of Loch Indaal near to Bowmore.

Guests have seen the geese in their large flocks and we have managed to see some of the small Canada geese amongst the barnacle geese, we have also had pink footed geese and the Greenland white fronted geese have shown well.
