Have been busy out & about birding and watching wildlife around the island. I have been over to Jura twice in the last month to scout wildlife watching opportunities and have not been disappointed, not going to tell you about them come out with me and we will see them together.
Also in the last month I have been carrying out my other birding obligations doing bird counts for national records. After completing a count I found a very pale wheatear this was unusual for late November early December, one of the other island birders managed to get some photographs and the county (Argyll) recorder came over and managed to get more images of the bird and they were passed to some specialists and the bird was identified as an Isabelline Wheatear. A first for Argyll.
